Sheila Farragher-Gemma It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this blog entry.

I received an email yesterday from George Selibas letting me know that Patricia Hackel had passed away on Sunday following a short battle with cancer. It was shocking news to receive as Patricia was only 48 and seemed to me at least to be her usual healthy vibrant self when I saw her last November.

Patricia became a member of ForeclosuresMass in July of 2005, attended our very first foreclosure seminar and was a regular attendee at our monthly events. She was always smiling, always had great intuitive questions and I know was liked by all. She had a huge heart, was always very giving and will be solely missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

When I heard the news yesterday I went to Patricia's profile on Facebook and found that a lot of people had posted on her wall and I'd like to place a few of those quotes here:
From Toby Fisher:

"My amazing fiancée Patricia Hackel passed 2-15-09 after a short but brutal battle with cancer. I am at a loss for words but this seemed like a good way to let some of the many folks that care about her know. I also posted a few pics"

From George Selibas:

"Patricia was one of those people whose aura gets stuck in your mind very quickly. I knew her for such a brief amount of time and yet I feel that I knew her forever. She had such a zest for life and she was a person that raised your spirits every time you would meet with her.

She always talked about her daughter Amanda and it always brought a smile to her face when she heard my baby's daughters voice - such was her love for people.

I will miss you Patricia and I thank you for showing me how beautiful life is"
