Hello and Welcome!
 |
Despite the volatile real estate market of the past several months, 2006 has
shaped up to be a profitable year for many investors. With two months left
to go, now is the time to turn up the steam and reach for those goals you
set back in January!
It's also not too early to start thinking about 2007, which is why our
feature article is so important. Written by CEO, popular speaker and best
selling author John Alexandrov, "Are You A Corporate Mystic?" looks at the
role of intuition and vision in growing a business. If you want to grow
beyond simply chasing deals, and move into the realm of building long term
wealth, John's perspective is an excellent starting point for your 2007
planning.
Next, we hear from regular contributor David Camiel, partner in the law firm
of Gilmartin, Magence, Camiel and Ross LLP. David has been a real estate
practitioner in Massachusetts for a dozen years, and his article, "Watch Out
for Sale Contingencies When Selling a Property," provides specific, tactical
guidelines to keep in mind when reviewing your next offer to purchase and/or
purchase and sales agreement.
In our "Nothing Succeeds Like Success" spotlight, we sit down with
foreclosure investor Derek Ebrecht. Derek has ramped up quickly (he closed
his first deal less than two years ago, in February 2005), and has much to
share. Our discussion includes why he focuses exclusively on foreclosures,
how broad your target market should be, and why reaching agreement too
quickly in a negotiation can be a problem. For a first hand look at what
works in practice, don't miss this interview!
Finally, we wrap up as always with our regular feature, "Debbie Siegel's
Mortgage Minute." This month, Debbie sheds light on the topic of mortgage
documentation. Specifically, she explains how the level of documentation
required will impact the rate you ultimately receive.
* Next 37 17 investors only!
As always, and until next month, keep learning, keep investing and keep
profiting!
Best regards,
